Remi is coming to iPhone and Android
Meet Remi, the app that turns whatever you study into lessons, quizzes and reviews you’ll remember. Here’s what it does and how to be first in line.
Today we’re lifting the curtain on Remi, a study app for iPhone and Android that turns the material you already have into lessons you’ll remember. It’s coming soon to the App Store and Google Play, and you can join the launch list right now to hear the moment it lands.
Why we built it
Most studying looks like this: highlight the chapter, read it again, read it once more the night before. It feels productive, and a week later most of it is gone.
Learning research has known for a long time what works better. Test yourself instead of rereading, and spread that practice out over days instead of cramming it into one night. The catch is that doing it by hand is a lot of busywork: someone has to read the material, pick out what matters, write the questions and the flashcards, and keep track of what to review when.
Remi does that busywork for you.
What Remi does
You bring the material. A PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, an EPUB, a photo of your notes or the whiteboard, a lecture recording, a YouTube video or a web article. You can add it in the app or share it to Remi from any other app.
Remi reads it. In about a minute, Remi reads the whole source, names it, writes a summary and splits it into parts of about a page or a minute each.
You study a little at a time. Each session covers a few parts. Read, watch or listen right inside Remi, then tap Finish.
Remi checks what stuck. Quizzes ask you to pick, type or work out the answer, or even write code. Remi grades what you write, explains what you missed and brings your mistakes back until you get them right.
And it keeps it fresh. Remi writes flashcards as you go and schedules each one with FSRS, a modern spaced-repetition algorithm, so it comes back right before you’d forget it.
Learning that feels like a game
Every note becomes a trail through one of seven painted worlds. Study to move along it, open chests, secure checkpoints with your reviews and pass the midterms on the way to the finish. Along the way there’s a streak to keep, XP to earn, levels to reach and a friendly blue cat cheering you on.
Free to start
Remi is free, with a daily battery of 48 sparks (one spark studies one new part) that refills every night. Reviewing what you’ve already studied is always free. Remi Plus doubles your battery, gives you 10 GB of storage and removes ads for $9.99 a month or $95.88 a year, with a 7-day free trial. See pricing for the details.
Be first in line
Remi is almost ready. Join the launch list and we’ll email you the day it’s live in your store. One email at launch, the odd update after that, and nothing else.
See you on the trail.
